Joseph Lamb is a privately owned and independently run business, built on providing first class investment and financial planning advice.
Our professional team of highly experienced and qualified advisers, technical staff and administrators offer some of the very best financial planning services anywhere in the country. We pride ourselves on the quality of our service, which is endorsed by the consistently excellent feedback we get from clients. After every planning exercise is completed, we ask clients to rate us via a questionnaire, results can been seen here in the ‘testimonials’ sections.
This website is not designed to provide you with advice, but to give you information about us and our services. We hope this will be of interest and show how our experienced and qualified advisers can help you maximise your finances for the future.
We source services and products from the whole of the investment market and provide independent advice in life assurance, lifetime mortgages and annuities and ‘restricted advice’ for investment, pension planning and other areas. These restricted services are provided following research of the whole market but this is done at a central level, which allows us to offer our investment and pension services at a lower cost.
Although for many years we have traded under the title of ‘Independent Financial Advisers’, the regulations introduced in January 2013 do not permit us to use this title if we provide some restricted advice services. For example, we offer our own in house discretionary investment management service and we could only use the title ‘Independent’ if we researched and offered other discretionary services as well as our own.
If you do require completely independent advice, where we research the whole market to provide bespoke and very specific products to meet your needs, we would be delighted to provide it, subject to the terms and conditions detailed in our Terms of Business.
We are delighted to announce that we were awarded 31st place in the top 100 Financial advisers in the UK, at this year’s Financial Times Adviser Awards. This is an improvement of 7 places on last year, but more important than the simple ranking is the fact that the FT have changed their assessment process. Size mattered under the old ‘rules’, but now they include qualitative assessments based on retaining client money, experience and complaints. This has meant we have moved up the rankings whilst most of the large national firms, especially the Banks have fallen. Put simply, if you want to be properly looked after you need to deal with a firm like ours, one with enough size and resources to deliver a first class service but who does not forget that the needs of clients are the most important thing.
